The seeds of S.A.Pharmachem were sown in the year 1986 in the city of Mumbai (then Bombay). The Company started operations by marketing products such as maize starch, sorbitol and other products required by the pharmaceutical industry. The operations were soon expanded to include the textile industry and also other sectors such as foods and nutraceuticals, excipients, antioxidants and sweeteners.

In 2006 we commissioned a modern manufacturing plant equipped as per cGMP norms, unilateral flow of material and other requirements at Silvassa, a Union Territory situated 175 kms from Mumbai. The unit boasts of a well-equipped Quality Control department comprising of chemical, instrumental and microbiological laboratories. This plant manufactures pregelatinised starch and is also accredited with the ISO 9001:2000 certification after due audit by the Bureau Veritas Certification (India) P. Ltd.
